About
Project management professional, MPM, and doctoral researcher.
I’m Mohamed Ali Ahmed, a manager at Shakir General Trading, the automotive division of Shakir Group in Mogadishu. My work is project management in practice: turning plans into results and keeping people moving in the same direction while doing it.
I hold a Master of Project Management and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and I am now working toward a PhD. My interest is where practice and research meet: what actually makes projects succeed, and how we can learn from the ones that don’t.
This site is where I write about that work, share what I’m learning, and keep a record of the journey.

Leading people
Building teams that communicate openly, make decisions and own the outcome.
Research
Doctoral work that asks what the evidence says about managing projects in practice.
Sharing what I learn
Writing, mentoring and speaking, so that lessons from one project can help the next person starting theirs.
